Grab your passport because we've got some mooncakes and halo-halo to eat! From Istanbul to Tokyo, you can find such a diverse range of Asian desserts that you could literally try a new treat every day (our goal in life, TBH). These delicious (and super-easy!) dessert recipes are just a sample of all the complex flavors of Asia. Whether you're celebrating the Lunar New Year with some tang yuan, Diwali with a batch of coconut burfi brownies, or simply just want to add a new cookie recipe to your rotation, all of these desserts are sure to sweeten any day.

Speaking of cookies, we will never say no to a plate of these tahini cookies (which are kind of like the grown-up version of a peanut butter cookie). What is tahini, you ask? It's a ground sesame seed paste that has both savory and sweet uses and is a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine. Spoiler: It's essentially liquid gold, and we love it on pretty much everything. It adds a complex nuttiness to cookies, is great slathered on toast, or made into rich, fudgy halva. It's also super-delicious swirled onto brownies.

On a hot day, there's no better way to cool off with a mango lassi. Creamy, rich sinh tố bơ is another favorite go-to hot weather treat that originates in Vietnam. The special ingredient? Avocado! The nuttiness of the avocados mixed with condensed milk is a combo that's really hard to beat. Treat yourself to one after a bánh mì, and you'll be so glad you did.
