However, instead of looking for these magical foods, what if we tell you that you can easily prepare the best weight loss meal from your kitchen – a big bowl of delicious salad.

What’s best is that unlike other fancy weight loss foods, you can't go wrong with a salad. Just make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients, which you might already know, since most of these ingredients are basic and easily available. To make your salad interesting and refreshing, try these interesting recipes and enjoy a bowl full without any weight gain worries.

Kachumber is a refreshing Indian salad consisting of finely chopped onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. You can also include radish and carrots in this salad if available. Next comes its simple and tasty dressing which can be a salt-pepper-lemon dressing or vinegar or yogurt dressing. You can also try several variations such as adding mint chutney, cumin powder and rock salt. This salad is crunchy, full of flavours, super refreshing, healthy, and free of any oil.

If you are looking to add protein in your diet, go for this filling, protein-rich chickpea salad. To prepare this salad, take some carrots, paneer, capsicum, bell peppers, and boiled cauliflower. Chop these based on how big or small you want your veggies to be. Now mix them in a bowl with boiled chickpeas. For the dressing, take one-fourth cup of oil, add salt, pepper and some chilli powder according to taste. Add the dressing to the salad, mix well and serve. You can also add some lemon juice if you want to make it tangy.

Why eat your mangoes simply when you can turn them into a mouth-watering salad. For mango salad, chop raw mango, ripe mango, cucumber and onion in thin strips. Melt some jaggery in warm water and once done, add the mangoes and cucumber in it. Let the ingredients absorb the sweetness of jaggery for 5 mins and then take them out. Now mix them in a bowl with chopped onions, add salt, pepper, mint leaves and mix it well.

To try this delicious and effortless recipe, take half a cup of leftover rajma and mix it with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, cabbage and spring onions.
