If you're on a fitness journey or are looking to lose weight but not ready to compromise on your favourite foods, here are some healthy and wholesome paratha recipes to try for breakfast.
02/5Mix vegetable paratha
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup chopped cauliflower
2 medium-sized carrots
1 medium potato
¾ cup finely chopped spinach leaves
8 chopped french beans
2 finely chopped green chilies
½ inch finely chopped ginger
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp jeera powder
½ tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garam Masala
Salt as per taste
1 tbsp ghee
Wash, rinse and chop vegetables. Boil them in a pressure cook so that they are properly cooked. Drain the veggies and let it dry. When they cool down, mash them together. Add finely chopped spinach. Add chopped coriander leaves, green chilies and ginger. Next, add all the spices. Combine together.
Knead the dough until it is smooth and soft. Let it rest for a while. Then start making a medium sized ball from the dough. Roll the dough and add the filling. Cover it and roll in a circular motion. Heat ghee on a tawa and place the rolled vegetable paratha on it. Flip until both sides are cooked. Serve hot with pickle and curd.readmore

Ingredient:
2 cup wheat flour
½ tsp jeera
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp amchur
½ tsp ajwain
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 tsp ghee
½ tsp ginger paste
1 chilli (slit)
1½ cup grated beetroot
Water for dough
In a large bowl, knead the dough with oil, water and salt. Set it aside. In a pan, add some oil and add beetroots and onion. Combine all the spices and saute for a few minutes. Take portions of the dough and roll to form a circular-shaped flatted roti. Add the stuffings and seal. Flatten again in a circular motion. Add some oil and let it cook on both sides. Ingredients:
3/4 whole wheat flour
1/2 cup quinoa
1/2 inch ginger
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp ghee
Salt as required
1/2 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
In a large bowl, add flour and salt and combine together. Mix in the cumin seeds, ginger, garlic and salt and combine well. Add quinoa and incorporate. Add water little by little, and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Pinch out small portions of the dough and form a ball and then press the ball between your palms to flatten. Roll in the circular or triangular motion. Heat a tawa. Transfer the rolled out paratha to the pan. Sprinkle some ghee and flip to cook on both sides. Serve hot with pickle, chutney or curd.

Boil them until they're cooked. Drain the water and mash the florets. Add all the spices into it, add the jowar and whole wheat flour. With the help of water, combine and knead the dough. Pull out small portions of the dough and roll it like a chapati. Transfer on a tawa, drizzle some ghee and cook. Flip to cook the other side. Serve hot with green chutney.
