CHICO, Calif. - The 15th Annual Tis the Season Food Drive that aims to collect over 100,000 pounds of non-perishable items begins Thursday, according to the Tri Counties Bank
The collection of the non-perishable food will be from Thursday to Dec. 24 and will help families in need throughout California.
Tri Counties Bank is partnering with the Salvation Army as the items can be dropped off at any of the Tri Counties Banks.
The top 10 non-perishable items requested by the Salvation Army are peanut butter, canned meat, soup, canned veggies/beans, oatmeal, coffee/tea, whole grain pasta, rice, cooking oil and cereal.
“This food drive and our partnership with The Salvation Army allows us to provide assistance in areas where the most help is needed and continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our community members,” said Scott Robertson, Chief Community Banking Officer for Tri Counties Bank. “We are humbled to be able to support those in need, especially during the holiday season.”
