Brew up a cozy batch of hot apple cider with Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm’s delicious recipe that’s perfectly crafted for the holiday season.
Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm in Yorktown Heights offers one of the best Christmas tree experiences in Westchester. The trees are abundant, the staff is helpful, and the onsite bakery serves up mouthwatering treats all day long. The hot cider, free for anyone purchasing a tree, is particularly fragrant and delicious. Best of all, Wilkens shares the recipe with anyone who wants it, so it can be savored at home throughout the holiday season.
As the weather gets colder by the day in Westchester, it’s time to start brewing up cozy drinks and leaning into the season (holiday light displays, anyone?). Hot cocoa and tea are a good option, but how about hot cider? This recipe elevates everyday cider by combining it with simple, yet flavorful ingredients. In just 10 minutes, your kitchen will be filled with the festive aroma of cinnamon and cloves…and your family members, once they get a whiff of that deliciousness. So what are you waiting for? Grab a gallon of New York apple cider, some honey, lemon juice, and cinnamon and craft the perfect batch of hot cider.
