The unmistakable flavors of Cajun cuisine are revered by many — and for good reason. When spicy seasonings and rich sauces meet fresh Gulf Coast seafood, the results can be truly magical. Pearland has plenty of places to enjoy the bounty of the sea prepared in both traditional and modern Cajun-style approaches. Choose from seasonal crawfish and shrimp boils, jambalaya, gumbo and po-boys made with Southern, Asian and other influences. There’s even a restaurant with an in-house seafood market for purchasing fresh selections to cook at home. Explore these and other locales on the Visit Pearland website.
All Season Seafood, 8201 West Broadway: Dine at this one-stop Vietnamese spot for lunch (or opt for to-go), or pick up fresh seafood from the onsite market to cook at home for dinner. The extensive selection offers something for every taste, and the competitive prices keep customers returning year after year.
Follow the Facebook page for specials, such as the crawfish deals available by the pound and bag for at-home cooking. The regular menu includes Seafood Boils with a choice of Crawfish (seasonal), Snow Crab, Colossal Shrimp or Lobster Tail, plus combos with variations of those same items served with corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage. There are five boil flavors such as Cajun, Cajun Butter, and Cajun Garlic Butter available in six spice levels from mild to Burn Your Face Off Hot made with ghost peppers. Though typically served for boils, you can request the same sauces for wings or even to pour over rice.
Popular Seafood Platters come with fries, and options include shrimp, oysters, fish and combinations thereof. There are Party Wings, too, available in six flavors, plus signature Salt & Pepper wings, Fried Rice, Garlic Noodles, Pork or Seafood Eggrolls, Boudin Balls and sides such as Onion Rings and Fried Okra.
At the market, selections vary by season and availability, but customers can expect a wide range of fish, shellfish, crab and oysters. Purchase as-is, or request your choices cleaned and cut to order. Seafood is sold at market prices, and is reflected in all relevant dishes throughout the menu. Call or visit for the most updated prices.
BB’s Tex-Orleans, 9719 West Broadway: Brooks Bassler opened the original BB’s Cafe in 2007, and hungry fans have visited for his hearty menu of award-winning Texas-meets-Louisiana fare ever since. At the Pearland location of BB’s Tex-Orleans, you can enjoy your order either indoors or on the inviting patio.
Create your own tray of boiled delights from selections such as Crawfish (seasonal), Dungeness Crab Clusters, Snow Crab Clusters, chilled Peel-n-Eat Boiled Shrimp or Hot-n-Spicy Boiled Shrimp. Customize with 14 add-ons, such as Button Mushrooms, Smoked Garlic Sausage Links, Edamame, Red Potatoes, Corn and Loaded Pollo Bullets. Visit on weekdays for daily specials, such as Gumbo with non-alcoholic drink on Mondays for $10.99, Water Creature Wednesday for an all-day seafood feature with special promotion (specifics and prices vary by the week) and Fried Fish Friday with red beans and rice, hush puppies and dipping sauce also for $10.99.
Dinner doesn’t get easier than with the bulk Family Packs, available hot and ready to eat. Choose from five combos that feed four to six people, such as Catfish & Shrimp with six fried catfish filets (12 strips) and 16 fried shrimp, Green Bean Medley, coleslaw, garlic bread, sauces and choice of fries or red beans and rice for $59.99. Floyd’s Cajun Seafood, 1300 Broadway: Guests love this local hotspot for its classic and flavorful Gulf Coast fare at lunch and dinner. LA Crawfish, 1910 Country Place Parkway: Minson Ngo, owner of Houston-based franchise LA Crawfish (the original is located inside 99 RanchMart) earned his stripes working with his uncle, Lee Ngo of Wild Cajun, before venturing out on his own. One of the prep secrets to his Crawfish includes seasoning both the boil water and then tossing the crawfish in garlic butter, Cajun seasoning or hot-and-sour sauce after it cooks for a best-of-both-worlds flavor punch. Crab and Shrimp get the same treatment, too. Order crawfish by the pound in one- to five-pound increments.
Additional fan favorites include Cheesy Crawfish Rolls (an egg roll wrap tucked around crawfish tails, three cheeses and grated jalapeños), Crawfish Empanadas stuffed with crawfish tails, mirepoix and Cajun seasoning and Crawfish Cajun Pho that customers claim is “life changing.” The latter is a beef pho broth made with 5 star anise, cinnamon sticks and other traditional ingredients kicked up with Cajun seasoning. It is then filled with crawfish tails and double smoked andouille sausage served with traditional Vietnamese pho accouterments.
Must-try entrées include The Awesome Garlic Noodles with caramelized onions, jumbo shrimp, crawfish tails, smoked andouille sausage, fresh basil and crispy shallots, Magic Cajun Rice and Cajun Curry with coconut milk, red potatoes, smoked Andouille sausage, and choice of jumbo shrimp, crawfish or chicken. There are Fried Seafood Baskets and Po-Boys, too, with options such as shrimp, oysters and crawfish.
Magnolia Cajun Comfort, 1807 Broadway: The excellent Cajun and Creole fare is the big draw at this somewhat recent addition to the Pearland dining scene. Chef Steve Haug helms the kitchen with a focus on easy-eating dishes filled with seafood and familiar Gulf Coast flavors. The menu is split into The Cajun Side and The Comfort Side (though it may be the case that the two are one and the same).
Starters include Fried Green Tomatoes, Peel & Eat Boiled Shrimp and Boudin Eggrolls — or try the Appetizer Sampler that comes with two each of boudin balls, crawfish pies, bacon wrapped shrimp and fried green tomatoes served with remoulade. Move on to Cajun essentials such as Crawfish Etouffée, Red Beans & Rice with Andouille Sausage & Jalapeño Cornbread and New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp. There are fried seafood dinners, too, featuring shrimp or catfish, and a combo with both; get either one in a Po-Boy as well, served with fries. Follow on social media to learn about weekly features, such as Maple & Walnut bread pudding or Parmesan & Almond Crusted Trout with Crabmeat and Asparagus.
For off-site dining, there is a food truck available to cater shindigs.. The truck serves a pared-down version of the restaurant’s menu. Try bites such as Boudin Grilled Cheese, Crawfish Pies, Blackened Redfish and Beignets.
On Mondays, kids 12 and under eat free, and weekday happy hour is from 2 to 5 p.m. Call the restaurant at (346)-229-4384 for more details and to book.

The most popular item is the EZ Peel Shrimp Combo served with corn and red potatoes, but there are plenty of other must-try dishes on the extensive menu of virtually endless combinations. There are also three sizes of party trays for up to a dozen people, plus bulk orders available for most items on the menu. Choose dine in, takeout or third-party delivery via GrubHub and UberEats.
Steamboat Bill’s Ice House, 1134 North Main: The story of Steamboat Bill’s started in the 1980s, when owner Kathi Bonamici Vidrine entered the shrimping business and eventually built upon that experience to open restaurants in Texas and Louisiana. The Jambalaya Shoppe, 12568 Broadway: This family-owned concept opened in the 1990s in eastern Louisiana, and has since blossomed into a chain with locations throughout the Gulf Coast. The base dishes are prepared daily in a cast iron pot over an open fire using traditional family recipes. Most dishes also incorporate The Jambalaya Shoppe’s branded seasoning and The Jambalaya Smokehouse pork sausage.
Choose from entrées of Jambalaya with rice, meat or seafood, seasoning vegetables and spices, Gumbo filled with chicken and sausage or shrimp and crabmeat, Boudin, Pastalaya (swaps rice for pasta) and Red or White Beans with sausage over rice.
