Talking about bone health only points toward one drink in general and that is plain old ‘milk’. It is quite the age-old practice to drink milk at night as it's loaded with calcium. Milk has been one of the popular choices for the older generation to increase their bone density. However, it is not the only drink that can improve bone health. Tea is known to have powerful antioxidants in it that include polyphenols, catechins, and flavonoids. So, the major benefit of drinking tea is that the polyphenols increase bone mineralization along with vitamin D levels, which are the root causes of most of the diseases today. Most of the people have a deficiency in vitamin D and drinking tea can actually help them. When you have such tea, the flavonoids present in them can have estrogen-like properties that further help to prevent bone loss.

Researchers believe that oolong, black and green tea are quite beneficial when it comes to bone health. Citing the same, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition says that ‘drinking tea with a temperature of 50-60 degrees C is effective because it helps preserve the catechins, which helps to protect the body from free radicals'. The study also mentioned that it doesn't really matter if a person drinks it hot or iced, its benefit remains the same.

Another study published in the journal Phytomedicine said that consumption of green tea is linked to better memory and attention. The catechins, caffeine, and L-theanine present in tea are quite powerful ingredients and make it a superstar brain-boosting beverage.
To make this healthy black tea, boil 2-3 cups of water with some peppermint, black pepper and cinnamon. When it remains half of its quantity, turn off the flame and pour into a cup. Add some black tea leaves to it and let the tea brew for 2-3 minutes. Strain and drink it up. You can also add a little maple syrup in it to enhance the taste.
This tea is just like plain old milk tea. To make it, add 50 gms brown sugar to 1/2 cup of water and let it come to a boil and let it simmer until it gets sticky. Now, boil tapioca pearls in some boiled water and keep them aside. Now, boil 2-3 cups of water and add oolong tea leaves to the infuser. Let it steep for 1-2 minutes. Now, strain the tea into a cup, add 1-2 tbsp of tapioca pearls and add the brown sugar syrup in it as per your taste. Pour hot milk into it and enjoy hot. Or add some ice cubes and enjoy as iced tea.
